No complacency
You should never allow employees to think that what they have done is good enough. If something is good enough, it needs no improvement, and its current state is accepted as perfect. Complacency will set in. Every endeavor can be more efficient or less expensive.
Setting high standards does not mean that you berate the accomplishments of your employees. In fact, the' opposite is true. You celebrate the successes and improvements that . individuals and teams make in a product or service. You reward their progress. But then you move the mark a little higher so that they have something new to shoot for.
