INTO THE SUNSET?
With his remarkable track record over the past two decades it was inevitable that people would ask what happens to Microsoft without Bill Gates. Although he successfully handed the CEO baton to Steve Ballmer, we will see how he managed a spectacularly successful transition out of the business. Gates continued to cast a huge shadow in Redmond and the IT industry in general in the early days after his move to Chief Software Architect.
