ヒイラギが口を押さえて咽せる。
どうやら埃っぽい空気にやられたようだった。
ミズキ：「大丈夫ですか？！」
ナツメ：「ヒイラギさん、外へ出て下さい！ 喉を痛めたら大変です！」
ヒイラギ：「それは君たちの身体にも同じ話だろう？ よかったら僕の部屋のピアノを使わないかい？」
ミズキ：「え、いいんですか？」
ヒイラギ：「僕は弾けないからね。音を合わせるためだけに使ってたんじゃ、ピアノが可哀想だから」
ナツメ：「ダ、ダメだよ！ いくらヒイラギさんとはいえ国賓なんだよ！」
Hiiragi covers his mouth and is choked.
It must have been dust that choked him.
Mizuki : "Are you okay?!"
Natsume : "Hiiragi san, please get out of the room right now! You can't hurt your throat!"
Hiiragi : "Same goes to you boys, isn't it? Do you want to play the piano in my room?"
Mizuki : "Oh, really?"
Hiiragi : "I can't play it. It's a pity the piano is only used to tune my tones"
Natsume : "N, no, you can't! It's Hiiragi san, but he is our national guest!"
ナツメは指で頭に角を生やしているように見立てて、しきりに首を横に振った。
恐らく「メイド長になんて言われるか」ということを伝えたいのだろう。
ヒイラギ：「………そんな特別扱いされるような人間じゃないよ、僕は」
ヒイラギの呟きは今にも消えてしまいそうだった。
ナツメが押し黙る。まるで捨て犬を見つけた子供だ。
捨て犬にしてはヒイラギは大きすぎるが、威力としては十分だった。
ミズキ：「いいじゃん。行こうよ」
ナツメ：「ミズキくん！」
Natsume tries to make horns on the head using his fingers and keeps shaking his head to the sides.
He must have wanted to show how furious maid master will be.
Hiiragi : ".... I am nothing like that, no one to be treated specially"
Hiiragi's whisper sounds like it's fading away anytime.
Natsume keeps quiet. He is like a kid who's just found a lost puppy.
Hiiragi is way big for a lost puppy, but he's good enough when it comes to the "influence".
Mizuki : "It should be okay. Let's go"
Natsume : "Mizuki kun!"
ミズキ：「せっかく誘ってくれてるんだしさ。ナツメはヒイラギさん………国賓の命令を断れるのか？」
ナツメ：「………………」
ナツメ：「………国賓の命令なら仕方ないなぁ」
ヒイラギ：「！」 (嬉しそう)
ミズキ：「決まり！ 行こう！」
部屋を出て廊下を歩き出すと、ヒイラギが小さく歌ってくれた。
ミズキ：「い、異国の言葉なのか？」
ナツメ：「みたいだね………意味はわからないけど、不思議な歌」
ミズキ：「でも、なんか悲しい歌だな………」
ナツメ：「そう？」
Mizuki : "He's inviting us over. Natsume, you.... Are you able to decline the national guest's order?"
Natsume : ".............."
Natsume : ".... If it's an order of the national guest, I guess there is no choice"
Hiiragi : "!" (with happiness)
Mizuki : "Done deal! Let's go!"
As they go out of the room and start walking down the corridor, Hiiragi starts singing to them softly.
Mizuki : "It's... it's in foreign language?"
Natsume : "Looks like.... I don't understand what it means, but it sounds mysterious"
Mizuki : "But, it does sound sad....."
Natsume : "Does it?"
今日ヒイラギの部屋に入るのは二回目だ。
家具が少ないため、半日程度で積もる埃などは一切見られなかった。
生活感がないと言っても過言ではないが。
ヒイラギ：「リズムの取り方はわかるかい？」
ミズキ：「ええと………『一・二・三・一・二・三』ってことですか？」
ヒイラギ：「そう。そんな感じだね」
ヒイラギ：「でもピアノはもっと細かく弾くから『一と・二と・三と』って数えるんだ」
ミズキ：「へぇ………リズム一つでも難しいんだな」
It's the second time Mizuki enters Hiiragi's room.
There are not many furniture sets, so there isn't dust collected just within half a day.
It is not too much to say the room does not seem to connect to life.
Hiiragi : "Do you know how to keep rhythms?"
Mizuki : "Well...... one, two, three, one, two, three, is this it?"
Hiiragi : "Yes, something like that"
Hiiragi : "But we play the piano more finely, so it goes one and two and three and, and so on"
Mizuki : "I see. It is hard just to learn how to keep rhythms"
ナツメ：「もっと細かいと『一とお・二とお・三とお』って言いますよね」
ヒイラギ：「言うね。聴いていると少し笑っちゃうけど、いい方法だ」
ヒイラギが「一と・二・と・三・と・お・よ・ん・と・お」と呟きながら手を叩く。
ミズキ：「決まった枠の中に音符がいくつ入っているかってことですか？」
ナツメ：「そうそう。今の説明でよくわかったね」
ヒイラギ：「ミズキくんは飲み込みが早いから、教えてて楽しいよ」
Natsume : "To be more precise, we say one aaand two aaand three aaand, don't we?"
Hiiragi : "Yes, we do. It makes us laugh listening to them, but it's a great method"
Hiiragi claps his hands as he says "one and two and three aaand four aaand".
Mizuki : "Is it to know how many notes are in one specific frame?"
Natsume : "That's right. You understood it well just by listening to the simple explanation"
Hiiragi : "Mizuki kun learns quickly, so it's fun teaching you"
なんだか照れくさくて、ミズキは思わずはにかむ。
結局その日は鍵盤に触れず、音符に合わせて手拍子するだけに終わった。
手が真っ赤になってヒリヒリ痛んだが、それすら笑ってしまえるほど楽しいものだった。
下男の住居に戻ったとき、ネムに再度「気持ち悪い」と冷めた目を向けられたのは言うまでもない。
午前中の仕事………買い出しが終わり、一時間の休憩をもらったミズキは昼食を素早く済ませ、ヒイラギの部屋に向かった。
Complimented on him, Mizuki is bashful in spite of himself.
Mizuki did not get to touch the keys for today, and ended up just keeping rhythms by clapping hands.
His hands became red and tingled with pain, but he could even laugh about it because the piano session was so much fun.
When he returned to the servants' sleeping place, it goes without saying that Nemu told him again "gross" with unfriendly eyes.
Mizuki gets morning tasks, a grocery shopping, done, and was given a break for an hour. So he finished eating his lunch quickly and headed down to Hiiragi's room.
ナツメとは休憩時間がすれ違ってしまったため、今日は一人である。
だが、ヒイラギがいると思えば寂しさを感じなかった。
国賓は大食堂か自室で食事を取るので、いるとは限らなかったが。
ミズキ：「………？」
ヒイラギの部屋に近づいていくと、聞き覚えのある旋律が聞こえてきた。
夢を見ているような微睡みの中で
出逢った可愛い猫さん
大きな尻尾を立てて
どこに歩いていくの？
邪魔をしないようにそっと入ると、それは有名な童謡であることがわかった。
Mizuki's alone today as Natsume and Mizuki do not have the same break time today.
But, Mizuki is not at all lonely because he knows there is Hiiragi for him.
The national guests take their meals at a large canteen or in the room, so he isn't sure if Hiiragi will be there.
Mizuki : ".......?"
Approaching Hiiragi's room, Mizuki starts hearing a familiar tune.

Mizuki enters the room quietly not to interrupt, and realizes it is a famous nursery song.
ヒイラギはソファに座っている。
ヒイラギの美しい歌声で童謡を歌われると、なんだか違和感があった。
子供が外を駆け回りながら歌うような曲を声楽にしているからだろうか。
ミズキは小さく笑って、ヒイラギの歌声に合わせて歌う。
誰か探しているの？
いいえと猫さん答えます
海を見にいくのと答えます
ミズキ：「長い尻尾をゆらゆら揺らし………」
そこでふと、気付く。
ヒイラギの座る、大きすぎるソファ。そこにもう一人座っていた。
Hiiragi's sitting on the sofa.
There is a feeling of wrongness when he hears Hiiragi's beautiful voice singing a nursery song.
Maybe it's because he's making a song that is to be sung by children as they run around outside into a vocal music.
Mizuki smiles softly, and starts singing along Hiiragi's singing voice.

Mizuki notices something just about then.
The over-sized sofa where Hiiragi is sitting. There is someone else sitting there.
その辺の町娘よりも、着飾ることに必死な貴婦人よりも、自分の魅力を武器にする娼婦よりも美しい少女だった。
ミズキは息を呑む。
美少女を目の前にした緊張もあったが、それよりも何よりも、少女がヒイラギの閉ざされた瞼にキスをしていたことが理由だった。
恋人、なのだろうか。
王室を魅了する歌うたいで、人柄のいいヒイラギだ。恋人の一人や二人がいたっておかしくない。
ヒイラギ：「ミズキくん？」
ヒイラギが歌を止めてミズキのいる方向に顔を向ける。

Mizuki has his breath taken away.

一緒に少女もミズキを見た。
初対面なのにやたらじろじろ見られて、少し居心地が悪い。
ヒイラギ：「ミズキくんも歌が上手だね、ツバキ」
少女………ツバキはミズキに満面の笑みを向ける。
屈託のない笑顔だ。やや幼さが垣間見えるところ、ミズキと同い年か年下だろうか。
ヒイラギ：「ピアノの練習かい？」
ミズキ：「あ、その………」
王子：「失礼する」
ヒイラギ：「これは王子。すみません」
王子：「いや、気にしなくていい」
At the same instant, the girl looks at Mizuki.
It's the first time between them, but it is a little bit unpleasant because she excessively stares at Mizuki.
Hiiragi : "Don't you think Mizuki kun is also good at singing, Tsubaki?"
The girl, Tsubaki, puts a huge smile on her face for Mizuki.
It's such a carefree smile. She shows some signs of childishness, so she may be of Mizuki's age or a year younger.
Hiiragi : "Are you here to practice playing the piano?"
Mizuki : "Ahm, I mean....."
Prince : "Excuse me"
Hiiragi : "Oh, prince. Sorry about this"
Prince : "Don't worry about it"
