以前、古い帯芯を譲って頂きましたが
長い年月を感じさせるシミなどがあり
どうやって使おうか頭の片隅に
ずっとありました。
そんな時、昔ながらの伝統的な本藍染で
染めたら素敵な生地となって生まれ変わるだろうな、、
と思い立ちアイヒラコさんの工房へ
持ち込ませて頂きました。
4回染めた帯芯と
5回染めた帯芯。
染めの回数を重ねるほど
濃い色になってくるのですが
素敵な藍色に染まりました。
最初は裏地に使おうかと思っていましたが
こんな綺麗な藍色に染めることが
出来たので帯と合わせて
素敵な作品したいと思ってます
Once I accepted an old obi sash, which unfortunately had stains with uses over a long period of time; I had no idea what to do with the obi sash.
And then, it occurred to me that a traditional dye method for indigo could help the obi sash be reborn as a new material. This made me bring the sash to the workshop of Ai Hirako.
Here are an obi sash dyed four times and another one dyed five times. Each process of dyeing made the color darker, but they were dyed in vivid indigo.
At first I thought of using it for the liner, but as it has been dyed in this vivid indigo color, I am thinking of creating a splendid work with the obi.
