● 教育の可能性とグローバル社会
グローバル化が進むこの変化の激しい世界において、より一層、教育の重要性が増しているように思います。
「グローバル」というと、日本人にとってはまず、「言語(英語)」ということを思い浮かべますが、もちろん、「言語(英語)」は「グローバル」と同義ではありません。
当保育園における教育では、「言語教育」という枠組みではなく、より包括的な「グローバル教育」を行います。

- Possibility of education and global education
In the midst of the world with rapid changes where globalization is promoted, the significance of education seems drawing more and more attention.
When it comes to "globalization", the first thing Japanese people would come to think of would be the "(English) language", but of course it does not have the same meaning as "globalization".
Education at our kindergarten does not fit in the framework of "language education". We provide more holistic "global education".
「違い」を受け入れる『多様性への寛容力』や思いやりの心。変化の中でも、自身で状況を切り拓いていく創造力や行動力。自己を表現し、他者とコミュニケーション、協調しながら取り組む能力。
それらは、ビジネスの世界だけの話ではなく、幸せで豊かな人生を送る為に大事なものだと思います。
10～20年以内には現在の仕事の約半数がAI化(自動化)されると言われており、今後のグローバル社会においても、「言語(英語)」という特定のスキルを身に付けるだけでは不十分だと考えられます。
"Generousness for diversity" to accept the "differences" and thoughtful hearts. Creativity and ability to take action to cultivate the situation among the changes for one's own. Capability to communicate and collaborate with others through self expression. I believe they are important not only in the business world but also in order to have a happy and fulfilling life.
Within the next decade or two, the majority of the occupations today are said to be automated by AI, so simply acquiring a specific skill called "(English) language" is not sufficient enough to survive in the future global societies.
そこで、当保育園では、幅広い教養を得る「異文化学習」で、多様な世界(日本での常識とは異なる世界)を知り、同時に「アクティブ・ラーニング」によって、学び、挑戦する意欲・知的探究心を育みます。
在園中だけでなく、将来に亘って必要な一生モノのグローバルスキルを育てることを目指しています。
教育には、平和や幸せをもたらす大きな力を持っていると信じています。
CGKでは、子どもたちの可能性を限定せず、あらゆる事に挑戦し、園内の世界にとどまらない大きな世界への入り口となれるよう努めます。
In our nursery school、children learn a variety of worlds (the world that is different from the one considered to be common sense in Japan) in the "learning of different culture" where they acquire a wide culture. At the same time, they develop desire and intellectual searching where they learn and challenge by "active learning". Our goal is that they develop the global skill not only while they are in the nursery school but also is required for the rest of their life in the future.
We believe that education has a strong power that brings peace and happiness.
In CGK, we do not restrict possibility of the children, and they challenge any kinds of things. We work to make the children entrance to the wide world that is not limited to the world of the nursery school.
●「世界」との出会い
私は今までに、オーストラリア、カナダ、アメリカの3カ国にて、住んだり、バックパッカーをしていましたが、いずれの国も多民族国家の為、数十カ国もの国籍の人と会う機会に恵まれました。
そんな海外での貴重の経験は、観光地を楽しむことではなく、様々な人に出会い、拙い英語で話し、聞いた、その経験そのものでした。
●Meet with the "world"
I have been lived or backpacker in 3 countries, Australia, Canada, America and all are multi national countries, and I have an opportunity to meet few dozens of nationalities people.
My precious experience is not enjoy sightseeing places, but the experience itself to meet various people, speak with simple English and listen.
今まで生きてきた世界(物理的にも精神的にも)の小ささに気が付き、「世界は面白い」「知らない世界をもっと知りたい」という意欲が生まれ、それは、世界に対してだけでなく、あらゆることへの「知的探究心」に繋がっていました。自らが興味を持ち、考えた事から、自身の意見が生まれ、それを人に伝えたいという欲求に変わります。
英語力が高くても議論や主張、コミュニケーションに弱い日本人を見ていると、日本人が世界で活躍出来ない理由は、単純に語学(英語)の問題というわけでは無いことに気が付きます。
They found that the world they have lived so far (physically and mentally) is small, and they had a desire that "the world is fun" and "they want to know the world they have not known". It was connected not only to the world but also to the "intellectual searching" for all kinds of things. They have their own opinion from what they become interested in and think. Then it is turned into a desire that they want to convey it to people.
When I see Japanese people who are not good at discussion, insistence and communication even if they are good at English, I found a reason that the Japanese people cannot act in the world is not a problem of language (English).
小学３年生からの英語必修化が2020年から始まりますが、単純に幼児英語教育だけに力を入れることが、日本人に求められているものではありません。
「グローバル社会」の為に求められる「グローバル教育」は、イコール「英語教育」では無いのです。
●交際交流が始まり
当社の始まりは、「教育事業」ではなく、「国際交流事業」でした。
Starting from 2020, English becomes a mandatory language to learn for 3rd graders and higher, but what is expected to Japanese people is not just about reinforcing the kinder English education. The "global education" anticipated for the "global society" is not equal to "English education".
- Interactive communication starts
Originally we started our business as "International communication business" but not of "education".
海外の移民国家と呼ばれるような国の都市部では、多様な国籍とバックグラウンドを持った人達であふれていますが、ここ日本でも同じような環境を提供しようと、様々な国際交流イベントを行い、日本文化や世界の文化も紹介してまいりました。
そういった活動が実を結び、海外留学を決めた方もいれば、国際結婚をした方もいます。
「日本と世界の架け橋」という理念を掲げる身としては、まさしく幸せを感じる瞬間です。
In the city in the country called immigration country abroad, there are many people who have a variety of nationality and background. However, they have been trying to provide a similar environment in Japan where they have been carrying out many kinds of event of international communication and introducing the Japanese and world culture.
This kind of activity bore fruit, and some decided to study abroad and marries a foreigner.
As a person who insists on an idea of "bridge between Japan and world", it is exactly the moment I feel happy.
海外への興味から、英語学習意欲にも繋がり、海外へ飛び出す為の架け橋(手助け)としての「英語教育事業」もスタート。
大人向けの英会話スクール事業にて、多くの方が、英語だけでなく、海外への興味を更に広げていく姿を見て、「やり始めて良かった」と思うのと同時に、大人から始めるには、「時間」「語学力の上達速度」「物事への価値観の固定化」「新しいことへの積極性」といった点で問題やジレンマを感じる事もありました。
It leads to the appetite for learning of language study due to interests toward foreign nations, and we have started ”English education business” as a bridge(helping) to fly over abroad.
For English school business for adults, when I saw that a lot of people improve their interests in not only English but also foreign country, I thought “I’m happy to start it.”, at the same time, I also felt sometimes that there are problems or dilemma in terms of “time”, ”Progress speed of language skill”, ”Fixing the values for things” and “Positiveness for new things” when growing up.
●インターナショナル・プリスクールの開園
「英語教育」と「グローバル教育」、そして「伝えたい想い」を形へとしていく。
そんな中で生まれたのが、当保育園です。
対話をする中で、本来必要なのは、「語学力」の前に、自ら考える為の「思考力」です。そうやって創造した自分の意見を最終的に伝えるための「語学(英語)」というツールなのですが、思考のさらに前に「探究心」という興味、動機が無ければ、深く思考をしません。
Opening of international preschool
Turn "English education", "global education" and "what we want to convey" into a physical item.
This nursery school was born under this environment.
What is originally necessary in talking is not "language ability" but "ability of thinking". The language (English) is the tool to convey finally his or her opinion created in such a way. But they do not think deeply if there is no interest called "searching" and motivation before thinking.
まだ何の固定観念も持たない小さな子供達は、経験すること全てが新鮮で、日々様々な刺激を受けています。「異文化・日本文化学習」では、大人でも経験できないような世界を少しでも多く経験し、初めて見る様々な世界への興味から、旺盛な好奇心へと繋がっています。
そして「アクティブ・ラーニング」では自らが考え、動き、創造する力を育てます。夢中になって、笑うことすらも忘れるような、そんな活動を通し、子供達は自己の表現を英語を中心とした様々なツールで伸び伸びと行い、新しい事へも積極的に挑戦します。
Small children who have no stereotype idea feel that all of what they experience is fresh and have been stimulated in many ways everyday. In the "learning of different and Japanese culture", they experience the world even adults cannot experience as much as possible. The interest to the world where they see for the first time in a variety of ways is lead to high curiosity.
And in the "active learning", we develop the ability to think, move and create by children. The children express themselves by using a variety of tools by focusing on English freely through the activity where they are absorbed in and forget even laughing. They challenge a new thing actively.
