We walk around Tanesashi Beach located in eastern part of Aomori ken and from where we can see the spacious Pacific Ocean.
Currently it is designated as part of "Rikuchu Kaigan National Park", and it is an important spot of a very popular walking route called "Michinoku sea breeze trail".
In Tanesashi Beach, moon light goes straight on the sea where we can see a bridge of light as if the moon and land were connected. As it looks like shaddock that is called queen of citrus fruits and is the largest among the citrus fruits, this phenomenon is called "moon of shaddock" in this part of Tanesashi Beach.

Walking on Tanesashi kaigan, or Tanesashi shore where is located in eastern part of Aomori prefecture, you can enjoy the view of the enormous Pacific ocean.
Currently, the shore is designated as a part of a national park called "Rikuchu‐kaigan National Park", and it has a role as a base for sightseeing of popular walking course named "Michinoku Shiokaze Trail", or "Michinoku sea breeze Trail."
At Tanesashi shore, when the moon is full, the light of the moon stretches over the surface of the ocean, and the moonlight just looks like a beautiful bridge which connects moon and the ground of the earth. It also looks like a Savon, or a pomelo what we call a queen of citrus, the largest citrus fruit, so the local people call this phenomenon as "Moon of Savon."
