The black and white is a New Marunouchi Building taken in 1990.
At that time, the building was located at left and right when we see the Imperial Palace from Tokyo Station across Gyoko Street. The one at the left is the Marunouchi Building completed in 1923 in Taisho Era.
The one at the right taken is the New Marunouchi Building completed finally in 1952 more than 10 years after the end of the war. It had been planned to be built since before the start of the war but its construction had been stopped by reason of deterioration of the war. In 2002, the Marunouchi Building at the left was completed first, and after that, the New Marunouchi Building was completed in 2007. The colored one was taken in November 2013.
