昨日ハシモト社に年末の挨拶と定期的な情報交換もあって連絡したところ、以下の金型の件の相談されました。以下ご確認ください。
クリップ付ボール商品に関して、特にボール下側の金型で現在までに１００万個以上を成型しており、金型の状態がかなり悪くなっているそうです。
今まで少しずつ修正しながら成型してたのですが、通常の金型寿命以上の数量を成型し、老朽化が激しいため金型が壊れてしまう前に型を複製させてもらえないか？ということです。
複製金型の制作費用は１セットで９０００㌦、２セット取り金型で１８０００ドルになります。今後のTIの生産計画数も踏まえて、当該商品の金型複製をするか？しないか？のご判断をお願いします。

Yesterday, I contacted Hashimoto for a year-end greeting and a periodic information exchange and was asked about the matter with the mold as follows.
Regarding the ball product with clip, they said that the mold, especially the one for the lower part of the ball is getting deteriorated since more than 1 million balls have been made with it.
They have been using the mold, which they fixed once in a while. However, now that they have made more balls than the normal mold life with the mold and the deterioration of the mold is remarkable, they would like to duplicate the mold before it will be broken.
The duplicate mold costs $9,000 for one-cavity and $18,000 for two-cavity. I would appreciate it if you could let us know your decision on whether the mold should be duplicated for the concerned product, taking the planned production quantity for TI in the future into consideration.

Regarding the bawl item with clip, particularly the mold for the lower part of bawl has been used to produce more than 1 million items already, and so the mold is in quite bad condition.
Although they have been repairing the model a little by little, it has produced more than the standard durable number of the model, and so they want approval to replicate the mold before it break due to aging.
The cost to replicate the mold is $9000 for one set, and $18000 for two-set mold. Considering the planned number of future TI production, would you decide whether or not to replicate the mold for the item in question?
