その頃はオフィスワークをしていて、いつもオフィスにはインスタントコーヒーがあり、朝は決まってブラックコーヒーを飲んでいた。すでにたばこを止めていたこともあり、ブラックを好むようになっていた。冬に雪が積もった朝などは、仕事前にみんなで雪かきをした後に仕事を始める。これがけっこう大変で雪が多いときは1時間以上かかってしまう。その後に飲む暖かいコーヒーがまた格別だった。仕事が夜遅くなることはよくあり、ただ苦いだけのインスタントコーヒーを何杯も飲んでいた。
I used to work at an office at the time, so there was always some instant coffee, I always used to drink black coffee in the morning. I already had quit smoking, and I started liking black coffee. When it snowed, all of us would start working after shoveling the show. This was pretty tiresome, and when the snow was abundant it would take more than 1 hour. After that, drinking a warm coffee was exceptional. It often happened that I had to remain at work till late, so I used to drink many cups of bitter instant coffee.
