地下鉄全駅における「翻訳機能付きタブレット」の配備について
「お客様サービス全国一！」を目指す京都市交通局では，急増する外国人観光客の皆様と円滑にコミュニケーションを図るための多言語対応ツールとして，昨年 11月から，地下鉄の主要3駅に「翻訳機能付きタブレット」を配備しています。

"Tablet with translation machine" at all stations at subway
Kyoto Transportation Bureau that aims to be "the number 1 in providing a service to customer across the nation" started to set the "tablet with translation machine" at major 3 stations at subway from November as a tool handling many languages to communicate with increasing foreign sightseers smoothly.

この度，残りの28駅に同タブレットを配備し，全駅において運用を開始しますので，お知らせします。
これにより，地下鉄全駅の駅改札口において，外国人観光客への親切・丁寧な応対を実践し，一層のサービス向上を図ってまいります。

40箇国語以上対応できる自動翻訳アプリ，「歩くまち京都」乗換検索アプリ，地図アプリなどを導入したタブレット端末

We announce that we set the same tablet at the remaining 28 stations and operate them at all stations this time.
By this system, we will handle foreign sightseers kindly and politely at exit of all the stations at subway, and improve the service furthermore.

With the installation of the same tablet in the remaining 28 station, we would like to announce the full implementation of the translation machine.
Upon the full implementation, we will be able to deliver a friendly and helpful communications to foreign visitors at the entrance of all stations, and thus to bring our services to a whole new level.
1. Introduction to the "Tablet with translation functions"
This will be a tablet installed with a translation app catering for more than 40 languages, the route planning app "Arukumachi KYOTO route planner", a map app, and more.

Upon the full implementation, we will be able to deliver a friendly and helpful communications to foreign visitors at the entrance of all stations, and thus to bring our services to a whole new level.

*We started to set it at Kyoto Station, Shijo Station and Karasuma On-ike Station from November last year.
