Venice's gondola is the best!
I got lucky and was able to ride the gondola with an accordion player and a canzone singer on board. I went on a canal cruise along with another 4 gondolas. They performed around 7 to 8 songs, including "Santa Lucia" and "'O Sole Mio". Particularly at the more narrow parts of the canal, people who lived in the houses by the canal looked out their windows, and many tourists on the bridges all enjoyed the songs and performances together.
