On a recent weekend, I watched the Social Network on DVD again. In one scene, the corporate attorney, one of the main characters, casually mutters, “They (the Bosnians) don’t have roads, but they have Facebook?” The movie is about Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, the largest SNS in the world. I admire Aaron Sorkin, screenwriter of this film, and I watched almost all of his movies and use them as study materials for English conversation as well. But the rhythms and speed of conversations are too fast for me. I can’t catch up with the stories even in Japanese-dubbed version. And I always use these excuses for not being able to improve my English ability.

Lately, I watched “The Social Network” on DVD again on the weekend. One of the personal attorneys, who is main character of this movie, happened to murmur “Bosnia, they don’t have a roads, but they have Facebook.” This is a movie about Mark Zuckerburg, who is the creator of the world largest SNS, Facebook. I am the admirer of Aaron Sorkin who is the playwriter of this movie and I have watched most of his movies. I even use his works as material of my English study. However, the rhyme and pace of the conversation is so fast and even dubbing version into Japanese cannot catch up with the whole conversation. So, I use this as an excuse for my English conversation skill is not improving.

Recently I again appreciated ”The social network” through watching DVD on holiday. A legal adviser of the chief character mutters many times over ”There is Facebook in Bosnia without the road”. Is is a movie which portrayed Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook that is the largest SNS in the world. I am an adorer of Aaron Sorkin who took charge of the scenario of this movie, and I have seen almost his work and then used them as the teaching materials for English conversation. However, the sense of rhythm and the tempo of the conversation are early, and even a Japanese dubbing version does not catch up with it. Therefore, it can become an excuse why my English conversation does not make progress in all the time.
