素敵で誰からもかわいがってもらえる女の子をお祝いするの。
毎年三月に、女の子がいる家では一ヶ月くらい
お雛様を飾り、四月に入る前にしまって、また次の三月に飾ります。一年に一度の飾りよ。

In Japan there is a celebration in March for newborn girls called "hatsuzekku." For this celebration, we give the girl a hina doll. This is to ensure that she will turn into a wonderful girl loved by everybody.
Every year in March, families with girls decorate their houses with hina dolls for about a month, and put it away before April. Next March they take it out again. It's a once a year decoration.
