This polish cloth is treated with silicone to remove dirt and fingerprints from a LACQUER coated brass instrument.
It leaves a bit of silicone behind on the surface to limit further fingerprints.
This cloth cannot remove tarnish from an un-lacquered Silver plated instrument.
