高倍率ズームでAVCHD Lightのフォーマットで動画も記録でき、且つサイズも携帯しやすいサイズに収まっているので、本モデルを購入しました。
【画質】
高倍率ズームなので、あまり画質は期待していませんでしたが、日常のスナップ写真向けには十分なものです。 また、テレ端でも解像度の劣化も少なく好印象です。
同時にビーチや水中撮影向けにDMC-FT1も購入しましたが、同条件で比較すると明らかにFZ7の方が画質は上です。
I bought this model because it can record videos in the format of AVCHD Light using high-magnification zoom, and its size is compact enough to carry easily.
[Image Quality]
I didn't expect too much on its image quality, because it has high-magnification zoom. However, it is enough for taking daily snapshots. Also, there is little deterioration even at the telephoto end, which impresses me favorably.
I bought DMC-FT1 at the same time for taking photos at the beach and in the sea. It is clear that FZ7 has better image quality when compared under the same condition.
FZ7が1000万画素でFT1が1200万画素ということに惑わされて、通常利用ではFT1を選択しない方が良いです。
【動画】
モードも関係なしに気楽に動画が撮影できて便利です。コンデジの動画ということでは、満足いくものですが、ハイビジョン・ビデオカメラの置き換えになるレベルでは正直ないです。
特筆する点は、動画撮影中も光学ズームが利用でき、ズーム音も殆んど気になりませんし、音声もステレオでドルビーデジタル対応です。
Your had better not choose FT1 for the normal use because it has 12 million pixels while FZ7 has 10 million pixels.
[Video]
It is useful because I can take videos easily disregarding of modes. It is of satisfaction as taking videos with a compact digital camera. To be honest, however, it can't be replaced with high-definition video camera.
It is the point to be noted that the optical zoom is available during video shooting, and the zooming sound bothers me very little. The voice is Dolby digital stereo correspondence.
動画撮影中は静止画を撮ることができませんが、実際には動画撮影中に静止画を高画質で撮影したいことは多々あるので、今後の製品での対応に強く期待します。
【操作性】
動画の撮影ボタンが、静止画のシャッターボタンと分かれているのには、賛否両論があるようですが、個人的には背面の撮影ボタンでも慣れればそれほど押しにくいものではなく、撮影モードがなくなったメリットの方が大きいと思います。
十字キーの真ん中のボタンの役割が一定でないので、最初は非常に困惑します。
You can’t take a still image while you are shooting video. However, there are many cases when you actually want to take still image with a high-resolution while you are shooting video. I would really like this to be supported in the future product.
[Operability]
I hear pros and cons regarding the shutter button which is located separately for recording video and taking still photo. However, I personally feel that it is not that difficult to press the video button located on the back side if you get used to it. Instead, it is more beneficial that the shooting mode has been removed.
The function of the center button in the cross-key depends on the selected menu and is not fixed, so I was really uncomfortable at the beginning.
真ん中のボタンは常識的には決定を連想しますので、戻る等には割り振らないでもらいたいものです。
キャノンのコンデジのように撮影後のオートレビューをOFFにした場合は、シャッターボタンを押している間は撮影した画像を表示し続ける機能があると便利です。（シャッターチャンスを逃したくないので、オートレビューをOFFにして利用するので）
ズームの倍率を思った画角に調整するのに少々時間が費やすことがあるので、この点も改善を期待したい点です。
【バッテリー】
The button located in the center usually makes people imagine that it’s an “Enter button” so I wish the function “Return” was not allocated for this button.
It will be convenient if the photo will be displayed while the shutter button is pressed like Canon’s digital compact camera, when the auto-view is turned off after the shooting. (I turn off the auto-view because I don’t want to miss the best photo opportunity.)
It takes time for me to adjust the zoom magnification to the angle of view I wish so I also expect this to be improved.
[Battery]
あまり持ちはそれほどよくないようなので、１本予備を持ち歩かないと不安感があります。
認証機能の入った新しいバッテリーなので、純正品しか選択肢が現状ではなく、高価です。
また、FZ7とFT1のバッテリーは互換性がないので、非常に不便です。同じメーカーのコンデジは、同じバッテリーを利用できるようにしてもらいたいものです。
【総合】
It doesn’t last that long so I feel uncomfortable if I don’t carry around a spare battery with me.
It only takes battery with an authentication feature so you have to buy an original battery at this moment which is expensive.
Also, the battery for FZ7 and FT1 is not compatible so it’s very inconvenient. I expect to use the same battery if I am using the same manufacturer’s compact digital camera.
[General Comments]
高倍率ズームが希望で、それなりにコンパクトで、動画もHDで撮影中の光学ズームが可能で、画質も満足できるレベルという選択基準では、FZ7は現状のコンデジの中ではお勧めできる機種だと思います。
なお、顔の個人認証等の新機能は興味がないので、利用していませんので評価していません。このような機能を強化するよりは、高感度時のノイズの低減やダイナミックレンジの向上等、
デジタルカメラの本質的な機能強化に開発の時間を割いてもらいたいものです。
My criteria for selecting compact digital camera was, a camera with a high magnification zoom, relatively-small in size, and able to shoot HD video using optical zoom delivering image quality which can be satisfied. Based on above, FZ7 will be the one I can recommend among the current model.
By the way, I won’t review about the Face-Recognition function since I have no interest and I’m not using it. Instead of enhancing these functions, I would like the manufacturer to dedicate more time into development of strengthen the essential function of the digital camera, such as noise reduction at the high sensitivity range and dynamic range improvement.
