This alto was relacquered a long time ago, and the “newer” lacquer shows good coverage without a lot of wear. It is mechanically solid with all the keywork intact. It features rolled tone holes, in good condition. Still has the original neck too, with the underslung octave key, double socket receiver, and “microtuner” mechanism.

This alto will need some pad work to really get into good playing shape. Pads are older, and the horn could really stand a repad and good regulation. It is well worth the work, as the 6M was arguably the best alto Conn ever made. It featured a host of improvements from the previous model and remains one of the most popular vintage horns today.
