　the histiocytic disorders, since this patient’s biopsy
　specimen contained granulomas, which are
　composed of histiocytes.

　lytic lesions involving the long bones.

○One final consideration in this case is the patient’s
　history of smoking.

○A 48-year-old man was seen in the orthopedic
　clinic of this hospital because of cough, pain in the left shoulder, and a
　　radiographically　lucent lesion in the scapula.

○An open excisional
　biopsy and curettage of the lesion of the
　left scapular spine were performed; cefazolin was
　administered before and after the surgery.
