There are always traps when translating, a boxer fighting in a ring may turn in to a fighter jet in your target language, or a funny bugger (time waster) may turn in to a gay clown and spark an international incident with the prime minster of Japan (this actually happened)! Don't risk hiring a cheap translator who is not native in English and who may make serious mistakes that could affect how your audience sees your translated documents, and thus reflects back on you as a person or business! Rates vary based on subject matter and accuracy. Draft translation with basic editing and proofing: Simple material = $0.12 USD/word /$0.05 USD/character Complex material = $0.12 USD/word /$0.05 USD/character Complete translation with detailed editing and proof checking. Simple material = $0.20 USD/word /$0.10 USD/character Complex material = $0.45 USD/word /$0.20 USD/character Other tasks per hour: $16.60USD ($15 USD + 10% conyac cut) Please note that rates per word are usually cheaper than rates per hour.
