9月5日から7日まで東京ビッグサイト全館に2485社が集結し、ギフト関連の新商品300万点以上が一堂に揃う商談型見本市「ギフト・ショー2012秋」が開催する。
今回の見所は次の3つ。
[新しいライフスタイルの提案]として、IT関連＆エンターテインメントグッズコーナーでスマホ関連品が集まり、前回比約3倍の規模で展開される。また、キャラクターライセンスフェアでは、おなじみの、サンエックス、手塚プロダクション、ディック・ブルーナ・ジャパン、ＮＨＫエンタープライズらが参加。

また、初出展となる日本デザイン振興会は、被災地域の産業復興支援策として行なっている特別企画「東北茨城デザイン」に参加する東北６県および茨城県から商品を集結し展開する。
