I think it's a too literal translation, hence sounds a little bit awkward. The first part ("If you can stay the same") omits detail about nature/intrinsic character (本质).

Idiomatic translation. Though it's not literal translation, especially the second clause, it conveys similar meaning.
"If you can maintain your nature unchanged, you will have actually changed the world" would sound grammatically more correct.
