Finally, authoritarianism was negatively correlated with overall positive affect about parenting.
Table2 shows results for the husband characteristics. As hypothesized, generativity in women was positively correlated with ratings of lovingness and wisdom in spouses. In contrast, authoritarianism in women was negatively correlated with rated lovingness of spouses but positively correlated with masculinity.
Table3 shows results for the items assessing feelings about life. As shown by paired samples t tests, participants did not change significantly across the 10-year interval of assessment on identity certainty, confident power, and concerns with generativity.
