II Indications For Use
The Swing Breastpump is a powered breastpump:
• To be used by lactating women to express and collect milk from their breast during absences
from the baby (e.g. an evening out from baby, working part-time).
• To initiate and maintain a milk supply if breastfeeding is temporarily interrupted.
• To relieve engorgement.
• For home use and on the go.
III Important Safeguards
When using electrical devices, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
Read all instructions before use.
• Use the product only for its intended use as described in this instruction manual.
• Only use the mains adapter that comes with the Swing Breastpump.

III 重要な安全対策
電気製品を使う場合は、基本的な注意は常に払われなければなりません。これには以下のことが含まれます：

・スウィングブレストポンプに付属の主電源アダプタ以外は使用しないでください。
• Make sure the voltage of the mains adapter is compatible with the power source.
• Plug the mains adapter into Swing Breastpump first and then into wall socket.
• Always unplug electrical devices immediately after using.
• The product should never be left unattended when plugged into a power source.
• Separation from the mains is only assured through the disconnection of the mains adapter
from the wall socket outlet.
• Keep the mains adapter away from heated surfaces.
• Never operate an electrical device if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Keep appliance dry and do not place in direct sunlight.

・使用後はすぐに電気製品の電源コードを抜いてください。
・製品に電源が供給された状態のときは決して目を離さないでください。

• Do not use while bathing or showering.
• Do not place in or drop motor unit into water or other liquid.
• Do not spray or pour liquid directly onto the pump.
• Do not store or use this product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
• Do not reach for any electrical device if it has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
• Use Medela original accessories only.
• Check pump kit components for wear or damage.
• This is a single user product. Use by more than one person may present a health risk and
voids the warranty.
• Pump only with the motor in an upright position.
• Do not use while sleeping or overly drowsy.
・入浴中、シャワー中は使用しないでください。
・モーターユニットを水や他の液体に入れたり落としたりしないでください。

・水没してしまった電気機器には、触らないで下さい。直ちに、コンセントから抜いて下さい。
・Medelaの純正付属品のみ、ご使用下さい。
・ポンプキットの部品に劣化や損傷がないか、ご確認下さい。
・製品はお一人でご使用下さい。他者と共用すると、健康を損ねる可能性が生じ、また保証の対象外になります。
・まっすぐな状態で、モーターを使用して、吸引下さい。
・就寝中や眠たい時は使用しないで下さい。
• Supervision is necessary when this product is used in the vicinity of children.
• If problems or pain occur, consult your lactation consultant or physician.
• Equipment not suitable for use in the presence of a flammable anaesthetic mixture with air or
with oxygen or nitrous oxide.
• Portable and mobile radio frequency communications equipment can affect the Swing
Breastpump.
• The Swing Breastpump needs special precautions regarding EMC (Electromagnetic compati-
bility) and needs to be installed and put into service according to the EMC information provi-
ded in these instructions for use.
• There are no user-serviceable parts inside the Swing. Do not attempt to repair the Swing Breastpump yourself.

IV Assembly Instructions
Make sure breastshield and connector are securely attached.
Snap membrane onto valve until membrane lies completely flat.
Push assembled valve and membrane onto connector. Ensure sidewise position of valve as indicated on picture.
Screw bottle into connector.
Insert adapter end of tubing into opening in connector.
Insert the other end of tubing into the polygon shaped port.
V Operation

Note
If the pump has been running for 30 minutes without any manipulations (e.g. adjustment of the vacuum), the Swing will automaticall switch off.

ブレストシールドとコネクターが安全に取り付けられていることを確認してください。
メンブレンを完全にフラットになるまでバルブにしっかり止めしてください。
組み立てたバルブとメンブレンをコネクターに押し付けます。バルブの横位置が写真で示す通りになっていることを確認してください。
ボトルをコネクターに回してとめます。

Electrical operation
Insert the metal plug on the end of the mains adapter cord into the hole on the side of the motor unit. Plug the electrical connector on the end of mains adapter cord into power jack (4.8 V DC).
Battery operation
To install the batteries, push the bar towards the clip to open the cover of the battery compartment.
Insert the batteries in the correct position as indicated inside the battery compartment and snap the cover back into place
(AA Mignon LR6).
The batteries do not need to be removed if the mains adapter is used for pumping

VI Pumping
Be comfortably seated and relax. Use a footrest, when pumping or when feeding your baby.
Elevating your feet puts you into proper sitting position to avoid stress on the lower back and perineum.
Center your breastshield over your nipple.
• Do not tilt or overfill bottles when pumping.
• Take care not to kink tubing while pumping.
Switch on the breastpump by pressing the On/Off button. The pump will begin pumping in the Stimulation Phase.
Adjust the vacuum during pumping to your comfort level by pressing the increase (+) or decrease (-) button.
If you keep pressing the button (+ or -), the vacuum level can be adjusted more rapidly.
快適な姿勢で座り、リラックスしてください。ポンピングしているときや授乳しているときはフットレストを使うと良いでしょう。
足の位置を高くして適切な座り方をすると背中の下部と会陰部にかかるストレスが減ります。
ブレストシールドを乳首の中央に当てます。

オン／オフスイッチを押してブレストポンプのスイッチを入れます。刺激フェイズでのポンピングが始まります。
ポンピング中は、増（+）ボタンか減（+）ボタンを押して吸引をお客様が快適に感じるレベルに調整してください。
ボタン（+か-）を押し続けると吸引レベルがより速く調整できます。
Once your milk starts to flow or you sense milk ejection, press the let-down button to switch to the Expression Phase.
If you do not press the let-down button, the pump will automatically switch to the Expression Phase after two minutes.
Set your Maximum Comfort VacuumTM which is the highest vacuum you can use and still feel comfortable (this is different for every mother). To find your Maximum Comfort Vacuum increase vacuum until pum- ping feels slightly uncomfortable (not painful), then decrease slightly.
Research has shown that you will pump more efficiently – meaning get more milk in less time – when pumping at Maximum Comfort VacuumTM in the Expression Phase.
減速ボタンを押さないと、ポンプは2分後に自動的に搾り出しフェイズに切り替わります。

Once finished pumping, switch off the breastpump, unplug it, and disassemble the pump kit items. Close the bottle and store it for later use.
Use bottle stand to prevent tip over.
VII Breastshield Fitting
Choosing the right size of Breastshield
A correctly fitted breastshield avoids compression of any milk ducts during pumping to ensure optimal breast emptying and maximum milk output.
Your breastshield is the right size if your answer to the following questions is «Yes»:
• Is your nipple moving freely in the tunnel?
• Is minimal or no areolar tissue being pulled into the tunnel of the breastshield?
• Do you see a gentle, rhythmical motion in the breast with each cycle of the pump?
