機械がそちらへ戻ってしまった理由が分かりました。
日本の郵便局に調査を依頼したところ、宛先に氏名が記載されていなかったそうです。
そこで、日本の郵便局がアメリカの郵便局へ問い合わせました。
その結果、アメリカの郵便局から「宛先不明」で返送するように言われたとのことです。
箱が開封されている理由はインボイスに宛名がないか確認した為と説明がありました。
そちらへ届いている箱には日本語で「宛先不明により返送」と書かれていると思います。
ですので、あなたがアメリカの郵便局と交渉して下さい。
