Actually, you are right, if it was a she it should be "elle." Same thing with the following sentence, "il" would be "elle." This sentence is gender specific for a male... I am trying to think of a gender neutral way of formulating this sentence without making it impersonal.

how about "C'est une personne tout à fait compréhensible et raisonnable qui cherche à plaire dans la coopération. Même après un petit malentendu, tout a été pour me rendre heureux." Admittedly the second sentence is a little bit forced, but remains neutral.

@buetler : Yes, this is why I chose the neutral " une personne", one could also use "quelqu'un".

sorry to be a pain in the butt! "plaisir de connaître" = "easy to know", isn't it? she/he was not easy to know, she/he has a pleasure to work/deal with...

plaisir = pleasure, so "on a plaisir de....." means " we have the pleasure to....."
I verified in my dicitionnary I could not find the meaning like "easy to know" for "plaisir de connaître".
And I have never used like that,too.....
