I focus my attention on the usage of time axis, and propose two kinds of methods of the describing the interaction with time that music has. One approach is to deform time axis visually and link two mental models of time progress and moto of music: “SeekRopes”. The other uses multiple time axes that have different velocities. In this way the frequency of emitting sound of instruments composing music is effectively described: “Inception Sequencer”. I will first explain about these two systems, and then talk about the evaluation and consideration of the systems from the standpoint of history of music and interaction designing.

I propose two methods for interaction with time of musical composition by focusing on operating the time axis. The first one is that “SeekRopes” which links with the time flow and the music stream on mental model by visually transforming the time axis. The second one is that “Inception Sequencer” which is a challenging for efficient describing for the frequency of the sound of the instrument which composes the music, by a plurality of time axis which are ongoing with different speeds.
