富士重工業は3日、新型車スバル『BRZ』を3月28日から発売すると発表した。BRZは、トヨタ自動車と共同開発した水平対向エンジンFRレイアウトのスポーツカーで、2日に発表されたトヨタ『86』の兄弟車となる。
BRZのネーミングは「ボクサーエンジン」のB、「リアホイールドライブ」のR、「究極」のZの3文字を組み合わせた。
