Charles Schwenk, now retired from his position as a professor of Management at the Kelly School of Business, Indiana University, contended that the call from management thinkers for strong visions could be the first step towards corporate totalitarianism.

Schwenk believes that decision making should build from diversity of opinion rather than a simplistic statement of corporate intent.
