Once I accepted an old obi sash, which unfortunately had stains with uses over a long period of time; I had no idea what to do with the obi sash.
And then, it occurred to me that a traditional dye method for indigo could help the obi sash be reborn as a new material. This made me bring the sash to the workshop of Ai Hirako.
Here are an obi sash dyed four times and another one dyed five times. Each process of dyeing made the color darker, but they were dyed in vivid indigo.
At first I thought of using it for the liner, but as it has been dyed in this vivid indigo color, I am thinking of creating a splendid work with the obi.

I was given an old obi core in the past.
but there were some stains that made me feel the long years.
I have been wondering how to use it.
I had been wondering what to do with it.
Then, I found a traditional indigo dyeing method and found that it would be reborn as a beautiful fabric.
I thought that if I dyed it with traditional indigo dye, it would be reborn as a beautiful fabric,
I brought it to Ai Hirako's workshop.

I was able to dye it in such a beautiful indigo color, so I wanted to combine it with an obi
I would like to make it into a beautiful work of art.

Long ago, I received an obishin, but, due to its age, it has developed stains, and I have always been thinking about using it. At that time, I thought about using an ancient traditional indigo dye to revive the cloth into a lovely piece and I brought it to Aihiraco's workshop. The obishin was dyed four times, and then for a fifth. As the number of layers of dye increased, the colour became deeper, but it became a wonderful indigo.
I had thought at first to use it as lining, but I believe that having come out as such a beautiful indigo, it can work as a replacement of the obi.

In the past, I was given some old obishin(obi core material),
but they had stains that showed their long years of use,
so I always had in the back of my mind how I could use them.
Then, it occurred to me that they might be beautifully transformed by traditional hon-ai-zome(indigo dyeing),
so I decided to bring them to Mr. Aihirako's workshop.
One piece was dyed four times,
and another was dyed five times.
The more times the fabric is dyed, the deeper the color becomes,
and they both turned into a wonderful shade of indigo.
At first, I thought of using the fabric for lining,
but since it was dyed such a beautiful indigo color,
I now want to create a beautiful piece, matching it with obi.
