I tried to register the preferred transfer address on my PayPal account, but couldn’t register the U.S address on my Japanese account.
PayPal Customer support said it’s impossible.
I also tried to make an U.S account, but I couldn’t register my Japanese address on the U. S account. I inquired the customer support and was advised to select the shipping address as a gift recipient’s address. So please select my Japanese address as a billing address for now. And I’ll try to follow the customer support’s advice.

Following your instruction, I tried to register the shipping address on the PayPal account. However the US address couldn't be registered on the Japanese account.
I asked the issue to the PayPal customer service but they said it's impossible to do so. Even I register myself to the US PayPal account but I couldn't set my address in Japan for the billing address.
According to the paypal customer personnel, I should set the shipping address as the address for gifts.
Please give an invoice to my Japanese address for now. I'll set the shipping address to the gift's address.
