The center of our work is study of Kazuo Ishiguro's style in small prose. The main problem is how style of Kazuo Ishiguro changed the canonical form of the short story. At the heart of this canon are two basic forms of presentation that determinated history of Western literature. Namely Bible canon, focus on content. And the Greek canon, form is the focus of a text. Contemporary Literature tends to the synthesis of these canons. Therefore, the canon forms the content and form of the text, which are due to the original style of the writer. Canon may change due to the innovative style and to continue the tradition of previous author, but change it due to his own style.
In 19 centure on formation of the Western canon of short fiction had been influenced by N. Hawthorne, by his moralization. After him, Mr. James, the center of his shrt stories is human psychology. We first on focused on the form, the second one on the content. Nowadays the modern short story canon changed by Kazuo Ishiguro. He synthesizes antique and Bible canon. The poetics of antiquity had not in the text, it is beyond. The tool is music. Music - intertext artist. It blurs the boundaries of form and content.Protagonist is narrator.
Short stories Ishiguro like a movie where the foreground action presents and reveals the psychology of music as artistic category. Ishiguro uses the Japanese artistic tradition in their stories: collaboration with other arts, melancholic background and linguistic mimisis.
