Gideon made ephod even the God didn't order to do, and he was arrogant that he was trying to be a religious leader.
That destroyed his actions and eventually it was ended up with destroying all the people.
For us, arrogance is the most terrifying guilty.
We need to be royal and listen well what we are asked to do and obey.
We should live to be royal.

Gideon was arrogant mading ephod and tryed to become a religeous leader even though he was not ordered to do so by the God. That made his work jeopardized and all of people corrupted.
Arrogance is the worst enemy of all for all of us. You need always long for the God and listen to what the God is saying and also to be humble before the God.
I believe what you need to do is to live according to you mission honestly. That will bring about a wonderful life much better one than being a king.
