こたつとは、床や畳などに置いた机の外側を布団等で覆って、中に熱源を入れることで温かくする形式の暖房器具です。アニメなどでもよく登場するので、ご存知の方も多いかもしれません。
日本の家庭では、冬にはこたつに入ってみかんを食べながら、家族でテレビをみたりするのが定番です。
