4月27日、国立京都国際会館会議場ルームAで、同施設をテーマにドイツ人監督が撮影したドキュメンタリー映画「Beyond Metabolism」のジャパン・プレミア上映会が開催される。
同作品は昨年冬に来日したフォルカー・ザッテル氏とシュテファニー・ガウス氏のプロジェクトをもとに映像化したもの。1966年に開館し、1997年に京都議定書の採択の場となった国立京都国際会館の現代の意義を、映像を通して再検証・再検討したドキュメンタリー。今年2月にベルリン国際映画祭で初上映された。
