Against the overwelmed military supplies and power of the Earth Federation, the Principality of Zeon deploys humanoid-shaped weapon "Mobile Suit(MS) " in actual wars and backfoots the Federation military in short bursts by a strategy called "Fall of Colony". The war settled into a bitter stalemate lasting over 8 months. Soon, the Federation army began "Strategy V" the studies and develops MS, a prototype MS and a newly deployed Federation warship arrive at the secretary base called Side 7.

The war lasts for over 8 months, ending in a stalemate. In the end, Federation also starts "the V plan" to develop their own Mobile Suits, then tries out the prototype Mobile Suit in Side 7.
