渋谷を襲ったウーアウィルス・テロから2年。被害者の一人である大沢マリアは、「ヘヴン出版」の新人カメラマンとして古参のライター御法川実と共に上海を訪れる。そこでマリアは犯罪組織「蛇」をめぐる紛争に巻き込まれ、「鉄の闘争代行人」の異名を持つ友人カナンと再会し助けられる。カナンは「蛇」の首魁である宿縁の相手、アルファルドと戦いを繰り広げ、その彼女をマリア、御法川が追う。「蛇」の陰謀に関わる各国諜報組織も見え隠れし、カナンを中心に人々の運命が動いていく。

2 years have passed since the bio-terrorism incident in Shibuya. Maria Osawa, one of the victims, visits Shanghai as a newbie photographer for Heaven Publishing with veteran writer Minoru Minorikawa. There Maria gets involved with a conflict with the crime organization "Snake" and reunites with Canaan, who is also known as a mercenary for conflicts. Canaan fights against his archenemy Alphard, the head of Snake, and Minorikawa follows Maria. As each country's spy agency that is involved in Snake's plot appears, people go through events that change their destiny.
