御釈迦様（おしゃかさま）は極楽の蓮池（はすいけ）のふちに立って、この一部始終（しじゅう）をじっと見ていらっしゃいましたが、やがて陀多（かんだた）が血の池の底へ石のように沈んでしまいますと、悲しそうな御顔をなさりながら、またぶらぶら御歩きになり始めました。自分ばかり地獄からぬけ出そうとする、陀多の無慈悲な心が、そうしてその心相当な罰をうけて、元の地獄へ落ちてしまったのが、御釈迦様の御目から見ると、浅間しく思召されたのでございましょう。

Buddha had watched everything from start to finish standing on the shore of the lotus pond in the Pure Land. When Kandata finally sank like a rock to the bottom of the bloody pond, Buddha resumed strolling with an sad expression to his face. Kandata's compassionless heart led him to attempt to escape by himself, and fallen back into Hell by just punishment for such a heart. Seen through sacred eyes, Buddha would think it so wretched.

Budda was watching all the deails while he stand on the edge of a lotus pond. But after Kandata sank like a stone into the depths of the infermal blood pond, Budda starts walk away with a sad countenance. Budda must feel pathetic to Kandata who tried to escape from Hell egoistical, and ended up with drop back into Hell for his unwillingness.

Shakyamuni (Buddha) has been standing by a lotus pond in the Buddhist paradise and been watching this since the beginning. Before long, Tada sank to the bottom of the pond like a stone. Shakyamuni (Buddha) made a sad impression in its face and started rambling again. From Buddha's point of view, the pitiless heart of Tada to bring only himself out from Naraku (hell) might be looked ignoble.

しかし極楽の蓮池の蓮は、少しもそんな事には頓着（とんじゃく）致しません。その玉のような白い花は、御釈迦様の御足（おみあし）のまわりに、ゆらゆら萼（うてな）を動かして、そのまん中にある金色の蕊（ずい）からは、何とも云えない好（よ）い匂が、絶間（たえま）なくあたりへ溢（あふ）れて居ります。極楽ももう午（ひる）に近くなったのでございましょう。

But the lotus blossoms in the lotus pond of the Pure Land paid no regard about what had happened. Those clear blossoms like some jewels waved their cups around the sacred feet of Buddha. And the golden stamen in the center of each gived off constantly an indescribably pleasant fragrance around there. In the Pure Land it would be near noon.

Yet, lotus on the lotus pond in the Buddhist paradise do not pay attention at all to things like this. Those ball-looking white flowers were waving their calyxes around Buddha's feet. Stamens in the middle of those flowers were making indescribably good smells everywhere around them. The Buddhist paradise must have been facing noon.
