How did these principles applied to our company? Each time I walk into a bank, an hotel, an hospital or any government office, I know in advance that I will go through a boring and painful registration process, filling out lots of papers. At the hospital, I will be asked at the counter to fill in a form to register in case I’m visiting for the first time. At the bank, different forms will be available depending on the transaction I want to do. The worst is probably with official government forms where you need to reproduce exactly the same information on several papers that are supposed to go to different services…

Next step is even more hilarious. There’s a person right in front of me who is going to manually input all that same information inside the information system of the organization. Can’t we simplify this registration at check-in? In 2013, is that ok to spend so much time on such an inefficient manual process? I believe that the check-in process at the counter should be breeze.

But the truth is, it seems users don’t even care about filters, more than half of Instagram users don’t even use filters. I think most of the draw of Instagram has been the social network that’s built and ease of use. Some of the apps below do a good job of that, others not.

The nice thing about these photo apps, is it gives you a good idea of how each of these countries is innovating.

China
Most of these Chinese apps are feature-packed filter machines. I think the only one that currently interests me is Photo Wonder since it’s so thorough. Some have social networks attached, while some are standalone funky filter apps.

Google also has put a motion picture view of it in YouTube compiled from the shots while they were taking the Streetview there. It will probably enhance the feeling as if you are actually making the trip to the island.
