Given that there are 1.5 mobile IMs per user on average in the US, the country – along with the likes of Australia & UK – is not as saturated as other Asian markets and clearly still has space to grow. However, strong barriers to adoption exist. In the US, SMS is still a widespread means of communication and mobile chat apps are yet to really take off. Compared to other markets, the US has a relatively low penetration (53 percent) of daily active users of mobile IM. In fact, peering deeper into our data – it shows that only 60 percent of smartphone users use mobile IM, compared to 94 percent using SMS.

2. Moderate saturation

Vietnam, China, and Malaysia all fall into the category of moderate saturation – with about 2.5 mobile chat apps per person. Even within this category, there are implications which arise from the wide disparity in daily active usage. Let’s compare the two polar opposites to illustrate this point. In Vietnam, there are only 44 percent daily active users of mobile IM. However, in time, we expect this percentage to increase. Currently, the relatively low smartphone penetration (27 percent of population) suggests that even smartphone users are still relying on old technology to communicate with friends beholden to feature phones.

I appreciate your offer most kindly, but I am afraid it's not sufficient. Sorry, but only 5 discs are playable and the condition of the box is doubtful as well. As there are 13 discs (not 12 as I originally specified - sorry) and only 5 are suitable play, I think it's only fair that I get refunded for the 8 discs that do not play sufficiently. Out of $130 (assuming all discs are of equal value), I feel entitled to an $80 value as that would add up most rightly.

I could go all in and ask for a full refund, but I won't. I'm merely just requesting my money back for those items within the box that do not work as expected. I sincerely hope you will accept my suggestion.

U.S. Online Car Booking Service Uber To Accelerate Expansion In China After Shanghai Rollout

American online car booking service Uber planned to land in one Chinese city every three months from now on, according to Martin Lee, head of the company’s Asian team (report in Chinese). In addition to Shanghai, the first Chinese city that Uber launched service, Uber is prepping for headways in Beijing and Kong Hong.

Uber may create a new market by introducing taxi companies that previously provide services for hotels to enter ordinary taxi market. But the firm may not make profits in mainland China market in the short term, because the running cost of high-tier cars is usually 15 to 20 times as compared with ordinary taxies, but Uber only double or triple their charges in an attempt to seize the market.

Uber’s primary competition in China is local rivals of Yongche and Zuche, which have already established their presence across China.
