Chittipat Nitithamyong (akashic_chr0nicler)

Greetings, my name is Chittipat Nitithamyong,
You can call me Jit to avoid the sound of something unpleasant. Incidentally, my nickname is “Poo” which means “crab” in Thai...You can imagine the bitter humour.
My language skills began developing mostly through my hobbies instead of my academic life. Therefore, games, novels, comics and animations are within my area of specialty for both English and Japanese. I could handle the more academic subjects for English, but the subjects of business, economics and finance are very much beyond me.

My academic endeavours have always been on the scientific side. I got a Bachelor's Degree from studying in the Biology Division at Chulalongkorn University and went on to study Post-graduate Diploma in Science (Ecology) at the University of Otago.
As I despise most content Thai pop culture has been offering me, my daily entertainment has always involved English or Japanese, if not both, for as long as I can remember. Foreign languages are important on a personal level as they help deepen my relationship with the things I love. Despite that, I have never invested in any intensive Japanese lesson: I was just having fun listening to Japanese and looked stuff up when I felt like it. My actual Japanese class was an elective during a semester in high school when I felt like properly understanding Japanese letters and also getting confirmation for all the grammars I picked up; nothing beyond the very basics.
I still have trouble with Kanji recognition, which is the reason why I have yet to take on higher JLPTs.
I have also been paying more attention to the necessity of localization in recent years.

Presently, I am available from 10.00 am to 12.00 am (24.00) JST, but also have other non-commercial translation projects on hands. My contribution to a work on Conyac will be 8 hours a day on average.
I am also familiar with Aegisub, Notepad++, RPG Maker/Tsukuuru and Wolf RPG Editor (admittedly struggling with the latter's coding).
