今は昔と違って時代も変わってますから、アナログからデジタルに移行してますし、ピクシブやクリスタ等の登場で漫画家になれる道が今迄よりもっと広く、チャンスも多くなっているかと。
あなたの場合、日本語の壁というのがあるにしても、自然な日本語に翻訳してくれる翻訳者さえ用意すれば無問題かと思います。（最初のうち私がやらせて頂いても良いですし）
