周辺に田園が広がる細長い敷地に建物は計画された。
クライアントからの要望は、少し先のリタイア後の生活も考慮した静かな暮らしだった。
そこで先ず建物は夫婦が老後も地上階だけで暮らせる平屋建てとした。
農業を生業とした周辺環境を考慮し、建物の外壁は火山灰を使用した100％自然素材としている。
平面計画としては、東西に細長い敷地を利用し、全ての部屋が効率良く採光と通風が確保出来る様にした。

Our client requested for a quiet lifestyle after the forthcoming retirement.
A single floored building means that the ageing couple can live comfortably on the ground floor.
Considering the fact that the surroundings is a farming area, the external walls of the building are made of 100% natural materials consisting of volcanic ash.
A plane design means that we could make use of the feature of the slender land mass that spans from East to West, and ensured that every segment of the house received efficient lighting and ventilation.
