まず今回の件において、私が返品のポリシーをよく理解していなかったことをお許しください。
しかし、壊れた２つの商品は両方とも捨ててしまったので見つかりませんし、
仮に見つかったとしても、それを送り返す費用はこちらで負担しなければなりません。
新しく商品を買うことはできませんし、そもそも壊れた商品を送ってきたあなたに一番の
責任があると思いますので、２つ分の合計$800はあなたが負担するべきだと思います。
厳しい言い方で大変恐縮ですが、これが私の考えです。

First of all, I should apologize that I did not fully understand your returning policy.
However, it is impossible to reclaim the defective items as I disposed of them both.
Even if I could reclaim them, it should cost to send them back.
I can not buy new items and you should be taken on the responsibility of that items because of the fact that you send such items. Also $800, the cost of the two, should charge to you.
I am afraid It sounds harshly to you, but I should clear my opinion.
