左の白いスペースはお正月だけ作られる巨大なお賽銭箱 いったいいくらぐらい集まるのかきになるところですが公表はしてないそうです。 例年三が日の人出は明治神宮だけで約317万人 ということは日本人の正月の一人あたりの平均お賽銭額が約150円だそうだから 約317万人×150円= 4億7550万円！ 素晴らしい！

The white space on the left size is an an offertory box that is built only when we have a new year days. We are always interested to know how much money they can collect but is it not open to the public. Usually during the 3 new year holiday, there are 3.17 million people visiting only Meiji Shrine. As I heard that average offertory amount is about Yen 150, so 3.17 million x Yen 150 = 475.5 million yen! Wonderful!
