今月末に、トムさんとジェリーさんが日本に来た時には、出来るだけ早くＮＥＣに対して山田さんが辞任する事を説明する必要があると思います。同時に、今後ともＩＢＭとＮＥＣの信頼関係が変わらない事、及び、今回のトライアルとプロジェクトが予定通り進展することを、改めて約束する事が必要です。私は、ＮＥＣグループに個別に説明し、この件に関しての理解を得られるように全力を尽くす積りです。

When Tom and Jerry come to Japan in the end of this month, I think we need to explain that Mr. Yamada is going to retire to NEC as soon as possible. At the same time. we need promise NEC again that the relationship between IBM and NEC remais the same, and that the trial and the project this time will go through on schedule. I will do my best to explain this to NEC one by one, and to get their understanding on these subjects.
