以前勤めていた研究所を辞めたときも　すぐ仕事が見つからないと覚悟していましたが　私はラッキーでした。日本では1年以上仕事に就けない人が山ほどいます。　戦後最悪の失業率なのです。

When I quit the job I used to work, I was lucky, I prepared for not finding a new job soon though.
There are tons of people not keep their job for more than one year. This is the worst unemployment rate ever after the war.
