Hodosan shrine in Nagatoro village of Saitama Prefecture .
Its appearance is a very beauty of fresh colors .
According to the legend of shrines, this place dates back to even before 1900 .
In 111, on his Eastern expedition, Yamato Takeru no Mikoto- the imperial prince was struck by a ferocious wildfire along the way and became unable to escape. However , two dogs suddenly appeared , and every time they jumped into the inferno, they immediately put out the fire, guiding him till the summit before disappearing. Mikoto believed this dog is a messenger of God , so named this mountain " Hodoyama " (meaning mountain to stop the fire ) and worshiped Gods
