品質判定基準との比較
検査は合否の判定を伴うため欧米では、判定の中立性を保つためその商品を供給する部門から独立した部門が行う考えがあり、逆に日本ではその商品を供給する部門が責任を持って行う考えが普及してきた。
最近の内部告発によるクレーム隠しの問題から欧米方式の考えを取り入れる傾向にある

Comparison to the standard of quality judgment
In Western countries, as an inspection involves the judgment of pass/ failure, an independent department is normally accepted to conduct an inspection for sustaining a judgment to be neutral. In Japan, on the contrary, the common idea has been popularized as the department in charge of the product supply should take charge of an inspection itself.
However, due to the issue of covering up whistle‐blower's complaint, incorporating the Western style of mindset tends to be accepted more in common.
