"friend" に不定冠詞 a をつけます。和文の「紹介」ですが、introduce は会って紹介するという場合に使い、会ったことがない人の場合は、refer を使います。

下記リンクのように通常、人名と役職などの付加情報を表す場合、名前•カンマの後、冠詞を付けずに役職が来ますが、この用法とは別物なのでしょうか？ あくまでも(which/who is)が省略された形として考えるべきなのでしょうか？
