40mWのlaserを購入しましたが、powerが20mWしかありません。不具合の理由を知りたいと思っています。それは、20mwのLDを間違って、40mWのlaserに組み込んでしまったのでしょうか？または、LDの接続方法が悪くて、powerが低いのでしょうか？もし、前者なら良いのですが、後者ならこのまま使用することは寿命の問題から良くないと思っています。

I purchased 40mW laser, but the power is only 20mW. I'd like to know the reason of failure. Is it that 20mW LED installed onto 40mW laser by mistake? Or the connection of LD is bad, so the power is low? If the reason is the former, that would be acceptable but the latter, I think it is not good to keep using in the aspect of lifetime.
