The application itself is free, but only the content from the Taisho era is available to start. If you’d like access to the material from the Meiji period, it requires 1200 yen (about $15)

Ideally I’d like to see an application like this make all its contents available for free, especially when you consider its value in areas like education. But regardless of price, it’s good to see such material make the jump to digital form — hopefully ensuring that it will remain with us for a very long time into the future.

アプリケーション自体は無料であるが、大正時代からのコンテンツのみ可能である。明治時代の資料へのアクセスは1200円（15ドル）となる。

特に教育において、このような時代に価値を見出す人にとっては、こうしたアプリケーションの全てのコンテンツが無料であることが望ましい。しかし、値段にかかわらず、できれば将来、いつまでも残り続けることが守られ、このような資料が飛躍してデジタル形式で見ることができるのは大変良いことである。
